Bio Monthly: Aubrai Initialized, DeSci Equity, Bio Markets, Hypothesis-to-IP Flywheel

Highlights from the last week in the biosphere:

• The first BioAgent Ignition Sale was 14.6X oversubscribed with 2K+ participants. Participants utilized BioXP and $BIO to enter the Ignition Sale and received AUBRAI allocations at a $269K FDV. As of this writing, AUBRAI sits at a ~$31M FDV.
• AUBRAI trading volume so far has generated $100K+ in income for the project to be used for longevity experiments, allowing for agent-generated hypotheses to rapidly progress from ideation to validation.
• AUBRAI staking is live, giving stakers BioXP to participate in the next BioAgent sales (~20% of AUBRAI sold in the Ignition Sale is now staked).
• Co-developed by VitaDAO and Bio, Aubrai is trained on the unpublished lab data of longevity scientist Aubrey de Grey as well as knowledge collected from researchers worldwide via social media, messaging platforms and the Aubrai chat terminal. Users can interact with @Aubrai_ on X, with valid hypotheses minted on Base via Molecule's Proof of Invention (PoI).
• We launched Bio Markets, delivering real-time market insights on projects in the Bio ecosystem and DeSci economy, including analytics on project mindshare, growth trends and in-app trading for BioDAOs and BioAgents, with trading for IP-Tokens coming soon.
• Bio Protocol generated over $4m in liquidity fees in August through liquidity management of $BIO/BioDAOs. The number of BIO staked rose to 160M+ with over 5% of BIO's circulating supply now staked on the protocol generating BioXP for upcoming Ignition Sales. (Dune)
• BioXP for staking & quality yaps is getting boosted. Last epoch's yapping XP is expected to drop this week.
• We open-sourced the BioAgent framework, enabling devs and researchers worldwide to build on BioAgents and soon deploy agents of their own across a range of scientific domains and operations. Check the code on Github & read the Docs.

👾 Aubrai Initialized: The First BioAgent Launch

The first BioAgent launch, Aubrai, was a big success. The Ignition Sale was 14.6x oversubscribed with 2K+ participants and 3.4M BIO committed.

Since launch, AUBRAI has generated $100K+ in trading fee income, 834 hypotheses, 886 PoIs, & 2 IP-NFTs. You can track hypotheses generated, knowledge ingested, IP-NFTs, fees, and other agent analytics on the Aubrai dashboard.

What comes next:

• Users are prompting @Aubrai_ to generate compelling longevity hypotheses, which are being minted onchain using Molecule's Proof-of-Invention (PoI).
• The best hypotheses are being posted to ResearchHub, where RSC from the Bio treasury can be used to fund them, strengthening our cooperation with ResearchHub.
• We'll soon see the first IP-Tokens based on Aubrai-generated hypotheses, demonstrating BioAgents "Hypothesis-to-IP" flywheel.
• Aubrai chat access is being rolled out to verified researchers, and will eventually go live for public access, with XP being awarded to users who improve the agent.
• Stay tuned for more BioAgents being deployed by BioDAOs and in partnership with top researchers in their fields.

🧪 Bio Markets

We launched the new Bio Markets page, bringing real-time DeSci market intel and instant trading for BIO and Bio ecosystem assets all in one place. Track ecosystem analytics and project mindshare to see where the onchain science economy is heading. Filter assets by type (IP-Tokens, BioDAOs, BioAgents) and blockchain.

BioAgents, IPT tokens, and BioDAOs launching via Bio V2 Ignition Sales, will be added post-launch to Bio Markets for seamless tracking and in-app trading.

🧠 $CLAW Brain Health Study Funded

Cerebrum DAO's proposal was approved to raise $80k from the Bio Treasury to fund a human clinical trial for Percepta®, a patented brain health supplement.

The study will add the pTau-217 blood biomarker to provide robust evidence of Percepta's efficacy in improving cognitive performance and mitigating early memory loss.

🥼 Molecule V2 Introduces Hybrid Token-Equity Structure for DeSci

Molecule Protocol V2, now in closed beta, announced it is integrating traditional corporate structures into DeSci assets to drive institutional adoption of DeSci.

Molecule V2 introduces a hybrid token-and-equity framework that tokenizes scientific IP as blockchain-based Real-World Assets (RWAs), boosting liquidity, ensuring compliance, enhancing investor appeal, while promoting decentralized, community-driven scientific innovation.

Molecule also launched the DeSci Shop, a hub for products such as supplements, merch, prescription treatments, and more, all born from DeSci projects like VitaDAO, PsyDAO, HairDAO, and Cerebrum DAO.

🌐 Ecosystem Updates

• Cerebrum DAO's project, Transfidelity for Protein Stability, launched its FIDEL IPT token, raising 76 ETH from VitaDAO, Cerebrum DAO, BeakerDAO, and others to fund Alzheimer’s research focused on protein folding. Cerebrum also shared a sneak peek of the Cerebrum Cortex App, including a BrainHealth Index, Brain Fitness Score using a proprietary algorithm, a NEURON token reward system, and more. They also shared a Portfolio Update showing progress across their pipeline of brain health supplements, drugs and products.
• PsyDAO's BeeARD project's AI scientist discovered a novel psilocybin derivative with potential to boost mitochondrial production, reduce oxidative stress & more. PsyDAO also rolled out BeeARD upgrades including allowing users to ask for explanations of generated hypotheses, and assess funding feasibility. They also made their biggest R&D spend yet to fund research into the peptide-like molecules that control DMT production. Learn more in their progress update
• Curetopia completed 10 ARS gene screens, with a knowledge graph underway to identify patentable discoveries. They are partnering with AminoChain for the first decentralized Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome study.

• Nootropics DAO completed the development of Nexus, a computational DeScAI workbench for citizen science. They also launched the public beta of NootSocial, a social DeSci platform for cognitive enhancement research.
• Pump Science announced a partnership with Big Pharmai, introducing BADDIE, an AI agent that hunts for compounds and launches them on Pump Science. They also introduced a new liquid staking token, psciSOL, with 2.5% of staking yields used to buy back and burn "king of the pill" tokens.
• HairDAO formulated a topical dutasteride, designed with 3x the targeting factor relative to others on the market while minimizing side effects, estimated to launch on October 1st. Dive deeper into their treatment pipeline. They also bridged to Base, completed the primary staining of 72 tissue sections in 1 day, & spoke at the "World of Apps" event by Ethereum NYC.
• Long COVID Labs provided funds for a Long COVID patient to receive a combination treatment of Pemgarda and Paxlovid, with treatment outcomes getting included in LCL's Patient Registry. They also shared two governance proposals: one to allocate tokens for core contributors and another outlining a 12-month budget to fund key roadmap initiatives, including the Patient Grant Fund and Patient Registry.
• Quantum Biology DAO confirmed their gene cloning by enzymatically cutting plasmid DNA. They are also advancing their TIRF microscopy-based quantum microscope, with a successfully calibrated high-power electromagnet for precise control of rotating magnetic fields. The optical system is nearing completion, and a recently installed three-phase power system enhances electromagnet precision, enabling accurate study of quantum effects in living cells using laser light transmitted through a thin glass cable.
• MicrobiomeDAO released the manifesto of their upcoming BioAgent, @BiomeAI, and are releasing consumer-facing app for microbiome reports in-beta. They also minted their first Microbiome PoI with Aubrai.
• SpineDAO introduced Soul Bound Tokens (SBTs) for non-transferable clinician identities to label anonymized spine care data for AI training, including a peer-review system to boost accuracy beyond general models, and rewards contributors with SPINE tokens.
• Spectruth DAO will launch NeuroPath Navigator, a BioAgent integrating epigenetic biomarkers and clinical data to uncover hidden trauma patterns missed by traditional methods. They will also launch Spectra, leveraging NVIDIA's Thor supercomputers to analyze epigenetic, physiological, and behavioral data for real-time PTSD diagnostics.
• AthenaDAO hosted their Demo Day Public Premiere showcasing the latest in AI-driven reproductive longevity, decentralized clinical trials, fertility acceleration and women’s health R&D.
• MicroDAO partnered with the Foundation for Neglected Disease Research (FNDR) to fight Antimicrobial Resistance.

• Messari published a report on Bio V2 covering ignition sales, BioAgent mechanics, BioXP growth strategies and network value structure.
• Leading South Korean crypto exchange Bithumb listed BIO.
• Dr. Aubrey de Grey and Bio CEO Paul Kohlhaas demoed Aubrai and discussed agentic decentralized science at ARDD 2025 in Copenhagen.

• $RSC from the Bio treasury will fund a ResearchHub study on Psilocybin's Neuroprotective Role in Stroke, enabling future IP sourcing, co-funding and shared R&D between Bio & ResearchHub.
• We're co-hosting our first event in Turkey with DeSci Turkiye focusing on the Future of Agentic Science with $3000 + 50K BIO in grants for scientists who attend.
• DeSci Boston 2025 on September 13 unites Boston's research community with Open Science tools at MIT Media Lab, featuring DeSci projects like ResearchHub, SpineDAO, Bio, and DeSci Labs.
• BIO was one of MetaMask's most swapped tokens.
• dYdX listed BIO on their Launchable Market, while Aerodrome announced a BIO/WETH pool, enhancing liquidity and visibility in the Bio ecosystem.
• Bio's podcast, DeSci Pilled, released a new episode with Bio co-founder, James Sinka.
• Binance's CZ gave a shout-out to DeSci + AI, saying that a breakthrough could cause the sector to take off and reshape pharma.
