Highlights from last week in the Biosphere:

🌪 R&D Funnel of the Future

Aubrey co-hosted an X Spaces exploring the inner workings of Aubrai and discussing the potential of decentralized AI agents to create the R&D funnel of the future.

Highlights:

  • For the first time, a leading scientist has a digital twin, giving the longevity community instant 24/7 access to Aubrey's knowledge as well as co-ownership of agent-generated IP.
  • Aubrai is built on ElizaOS with a knowledge graph of 5k+ longevity papers, unpublished manuscripts and 45M open-access studies.
  • Scientists can use Aubrai's chat (in private beta) to test ideas behind closed doors, while the public version on X stays open and transparent.

Aubrai/BioAgent Development

  • The RMR2 Study is kicking off at Aubrey's lab (LEVF), streaming data and insights into the Aubrai agent.
  • Aubrai Chat: invite now, token-gated next, mint IP-NFTs directly from the terminal.
  • Attaching in-silico tools (e.g., AlphaFold-class, virtual cell models) with access tiers due to compute.
  • Building scientific benchmarking to outperform general LLMs on domain tasks.
  • Ongoing “cognitive engineering” to give agents heuristics/mental models for science; avoiding generic "agreeable” reasoning to support fringe, breakthrough thinking.
  • Upcoming experiments with “backrooms” (multi-agent debates across disciplines) to spark cross-field insights.
  • $250 in AUBRAI/USDC airdrops to longevity researchers with .edu emails who submit hypotheses to @Aubrai_, and up to $25k in funding for your experiment.
  • Aubrai IPTs will be launched on Bio to fund additional experiments, with value flowing back to the Aubrai treasury.
  • Next Ignition Sales TBA - work underway with BioDAOs and world-leading researchers.

🌐 Ecosystem Updates

  • D1ckDAO created D-Age™ to assess men's reproductive aging powered by the BioAgent D1ckGPT, focusing on factors like hormonal balance, sperm count, sleep and more.
  • Cerebrum DAO opened early access for Cerebrum Cortex, their brain health monitoring app.
  • MicrobiomeDAO broke down their upcoming BioAgent, BiomeAI, and how it transforms microbiome health data into N=10 Trials and onchain assets, accelerating microbial discoveries. They also hosted a townhall, discussing their community growth, gut testing protocols and their roadmap.
  • HairDAO is building the largest hair laboratory in the world, with 600 cryosections, 240 immunofluorescence stains and 55 follicles treated daily.
  • Pump Science-backed compound Omipalisib onboarded Brian Kennedy, a leading aging researcher, as an advisor to explore its potential for superior lifespan extension compared to Rapamycin, with plans to launch three more compounds on Pump Science.
  • ValleyDAO's FORGE project was highlighted by Molecule for its potential to turn e-waste into raw materials for AI, EVs and energy.
  • PsyDAO's BeeARD project proposed a novel hypothesis on using vasopressin nasal spray to enhance psilocybin's therapeutic effects.
  • Spectruth DAO is developing wearable devices to monitor vital signs, serving as an early warning system for PTSD symptoms.
  • AthenaDAO hosted ReproTech sessions at Infinita City in Honduras, focusing on the future of fertility & reproductive longevity.
  • Quantum Biology DAO cofounder @ClariceDAiello will speak tomorrow (Sept 8) at an event co-hosted by John Hopkins University on Quantum Computing transforming healthcare. Quantum Biology Institute is hiring a CEO.
