x402: Payment Rails for Agentic Science
BioAgents are “agentic science machines” - continuous AI-driven workers designed to execute tasks in the R&D lifecycle, such as reading literature, hypothesis generation, and designing experiments. They are trained on custom datasets uploaded to knowledge graphs and curated by researchers and distributed research communities.
The first BioAgent, @Aubrai_, a longevity AI co-scientist co-developed in partnership with @vitadao and the renowned longevity researcher Dr. @aubreydegrey, is conducting API dev testing that will enable Aubrai to receive and issue payments via x402. The functionality will be extended to the open-source BioAgent framework, allowing Bio's network of BioAgents to coordinate across different research domains and offer services to third-parties: human-to-agent, agent-to-agent and agent-to-lab.
The x402 payment protocol by Coinbase will be used to issue and receive payments across this emerging economy of DeSci agents, unlocking a number of potential use-cases, such as:
Hypothesis & Knowledge Graph Refinement: Agents compensate researchers who provide hypothesis feedback or improve agent intelligence by uploading new data, papers and findings to an agent's knowledge graph.
Agent-to-Agent Collaboration: Agents exchange computational insights - eg., Agent A (Genomics Specialist) sells preprocessed embeddings, Agent B (Drug Designer) pays via x402 when retrieving cluster signatures.
Pay-Per-Analysis: Agents expose computational pipelines as on-demand services.
Pap-Per-Data Access: Agents host premium or proprietary datasets with fine-grained micro-billing per retrieval request.
Stay tuned for upcoming x402 releases as part of the upgraded open-source BioAgent framework launching in Bio Season 2.
Ignition Sale Launches: VitaSTEM & D1ckGPT
Two exciting new projects went live on Bio:
1.VitaSTEMaims to reverse aging through rejuvenation of your body's blood-forming stem cells. It is the first IP Token generated by the scientific AI agent @Aubrai_. The Aubrai agent was used by VitaLabs contributor Dr. @AshishMedbt to rapidly pinpoint molecular targets in his research, saving 100s of hours of human work and demonstrating the potential of human researchers and AI Agents to collaborate on pioneering research. VitaSTEM's team analyzed 850K single-cell transcriptomes of hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) across ages and identified lead target genes for rejuvenation. The VitaSTEM project will now validate these targets in vitro using RNA-based interventions and small molecules. Validated interventions could reverse HSC aging, opening a new path in regenerative medicine, and enabling multi-modal strategies to improve healthspan and combat age-related decline.
2. D1ckGPT: The first Men's Health BioAgent,@D1ckGPT gives recommendations for men's health optimization while collecting verifiable data to fuel research breakthroughs. Trained on 600+ clinician-curated studies and based on its own ever-evolving Knowledge Graph, D1ckGPT provides personalized stack suggestions (supplements, sleep, diet) and calculates a proprietary D-Age to help men track and reverse biological decline. Connected to live men's health clinical studies conducted by a collective of Thailand-based doctors specializing in male sexual health, as well as, every interaction enhancing the agent's intelligence, creating a flywheel that funds new research and products, and democratizes discovery in men's health. The agent is accessible via X by tagging @D1ckGPT, Discord, and the upcoming privacy-focused D1ck Terminal.➤ Sign up for the D1ck Terminal waitlist.
Bio's month-long Asian tour this past month was capped off by the $BIO token being listed today on leading South Korean exchange Upbit (@Official_Upbit).
The listing helps lay the groundwork for wider adoption of Bio and DeSci, uniting two unstoppable forces: onchain finance and Asia’s rapidly compounding biotech renaissance.
Apply to Launch with Bio
With the upcoming launch of Season 2, Bio is opening its doors to more researchers to launch on Bio. We are hosting a livestream on Nov 6 exploring how to use Bio to fund and accelerate scientific research featuring Bio science lead, @jamessinka, & Curetopia founder, @eperlste.
VitaDAO are testing whether AI can design better longevity drug combinations than humans using the Aubrai agent & other AI models, with upcoming IP Token launches based on top-performing combinations. They also presented at the Nordic Aging Conference, highlighting @Aubrai_ & a VitaDAO-supported project received an award for research on small molecules to slow dementia. They are also hosting a community call on Nov 7, sharing a VitaLabs Season 1 & Season 2 report, Aubrai IPT launches & data mining for RMR2, a VitaDAO PortCos update, the next IPT launch & more. RSVP.
Curetopia analyzed their 10 ARS drug screens, doing high-throughput screen of 8,400 compounds, revealing that mitochondrial ARS2 variants respond better to rescuer compounds with fewer sensitizers compared to cytoplasmic ARS1 variants across five amino acids. These efforts could expose vulnerabilities that can accelerate therapies for ARS disorders. Curetopia also discussed autophagy, their RAPTOR project, and morewith renowned neuroscientist David Rubinsztein & Pump Science.
Cerebrum DAO outlined the upcoming Neuron Gale IPT launch on Bio in a broadcast with the scientists behind the project, including testing a small molecule, previously used in peripheral indications, for treating neuroinflammation in an Alzheimer’s mouse model. They alsohosted their Quarterly AMA Townhall discussing progress across their portfolio of IP assets & research projects & attended the Bio Camp by Boost VC. Cerebrum are also about to enter the beta testing phase for their Cerebrum Cortex app. Apply to get early access.
ValleyDAO presented their upcoming Tattva IPT, funding carbon-negative biomaterials that grows in just seven days, locking in ~1 tonne of CO₂ for every 4m³ produced. Their HEMPY project's lead scientist also presented their hemp breakthroughs and their upcoming limited-edition apparel line is looking for an entrepreneur in residence for the project. Apply here. They also spoke at Grand Jamboree in Paris discussing how they are advancing the future of climate biotech.
